The successful candidate will join a team of highly motivated and skilled architects working on a number of complex and exciting projects.
Responsibilities:
As a Project manager, you’ll need to:
– Planning, organizing, directing, controlling, and evaluating construction projects from start to finish according to schedule, specifications, and budget.
– Planning and preparing construction schedules and milestones, and monitoring progress against established schedules.
– Check design documents with design architects, quantity surveyors.
– Visit sites regularly during construction — including bid walks, preconstruction walks, in progress visits, punch walks, and closeouts — and attend status and coordination meetings.
– Manage the construction site on a day-to-day basis, including supervising the labor force, monitoring subcontractors, checking materials, inspecting work, and overseeing quality control.
– Respond efficiently and effectively to work delays, emergencies, and other project disruptions.
– Tracks progress of all items involved in the project;
– Maintain regular communication and attend meetings with clients and their representatives to inform them of progress on the project, i.e. stakeholder management.
– Communicate with any consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors, and others involved in the project.
Required skills and qualifications:
– Strong communication skills – for liaising with a range of clients, professionals, and workers on site.
– Leadership skills and an ability to motivate your team to ensure a high standard of work.
– Excellent planning and organizational skills – for writing and monitoring project plans and schedules and utilizing time and resources effectively.
– Resilience and problem-solving skills – in order to overcome unexpected challenges during the project management process.
– An ability to make decisions under pressure, so that the project can progress.
– Strong attention to detail for conducting site inspections and managing contracts.
– An awareness of health and safety procedures and legislation – for running a safe construction site.
Preferred skills and qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Architecture.
– Minimum 8-10 years of work experience in Luxury fit-out / Residential.
– Fluency in English language.
